This was my final Merriam city playground to visit, and I’m glad I waited because the world’s first We-Go-Swing debuted just last week! This all-inclusive swing allows those in wheelchairs to swing with friends while remaining in their chair. So cool! Additionally, there are big, baby, and web swings here. The rope structures make for some fun climbing, and the circular one does spin (though not very quickly.) The sign does say this equipment is meant for ages 5-12, but I think bigger toddlers would still have a fun time. There’s a large green space to run around, and you can hop on the Turkey Creek Streamway Trail. There are several picnic tables placed in the shade under the trees, so it’s a great little spot for a picnic. Thank you Merriam for all your fun parks!

Geocaches: There are three within walking distance, though not right by the playground. One is a regular cache, and the other two are premium caches, both part of the same series.
Nearest local coffee: @mclainsmarketkc in Shawnee is close by and is the perfect spot to grab an iced coffee and a sprinkle cookie before some park playtime!
