One of the fun traditions we enjoy as a family, is baking sugar cookies together for various holiday’s. Valentine’s Day is one of those holiday’s. Finding the perfect sugar cookie recipe is essential in how this activity goes, and I am lucky enough to have one! It came into my life because of a dear friend and talented baker, Jennifer Hsu, several years ago. These cookies not only taste delicious and are easy to cut out but when rolled out and baked properly, they are soft and perfect for icing. That being said, they don’t need icing to be delicious!! Don’t take my word for it, try it yourself! The kids will enjoy the process too! FYI, I usually double it and it makes 4 dozen or more cookies.
Jennifer Hsu’s Sugar Cookie Recipe
Best. Sugar. Cookies. Ever.

Cover bowl and chill until dough is firm (about 30-45 minutes.) Preheat the oven to 375. Roll out. (The dough when rolled out should be about ¼” thick) Cut into desired shapes. Put on greased cookie sheet (I usually use parchment paper.) Bake at 375 for 5-7 minutes. Transfer to cooling rack.
